To Know God: Discipleship
Grace School of Ministry
Grace School of Ministry offers in-depth Bible teaching and instruction from the Word of God. Students will have the opportunity to sit under balanced, anointed ministry and gain understanding in a full range of subjects, relevant to their Christian walk.
Classroom Studies
Academic assignments and reports on specific books and books of the Bible, selected by the Pastor and Director, will be given throughout the year. These assignments will compliment their Bible school training and give them an even deeper, more rounded foundation of truth. Students will also take part in classes which will teach Christian Character, the Purpose of the Disciplined Life, Discipleship for Guys and for Girls, the Practicalities of Church Ministry, etc.
Prayer, Devotions, Worship and Scripture Memory
Each morning will begin with an hour of personal prayer, worship and devotional time, where students will learn the value of one-on-one communication with the Father, by listening to His voice and reading His Word. Students are required annually to memorise anywhere from 150 to 250 Scriptures during the course of their studies, depending on whether they are a first, second or third year student, also.
Evangelistic Ministry Training
Students will learn to share their faith and present the Gospel in a relevant way, using public speaking skills, the performing arts such as dance, drama, human videos, and other creative methods of outreach, as well as one-on-one ministry. They will receive training in winning the lost and learn to follow the heart, not the method, in leading people to Christ.
And To Make Him Known: Ministries
Visitation
Sometimes, for many, their greatest need is friendship. Students will have the opportunity to visit homes, hospitals and residential facilities, to give a smile, an encouraging word and prayer.
Street Work
Students will participate in a wide array of outreaches in the town and across the country. Such outreaches may include: clowning/ballooning/face-painting and other children‚ ministries at festivals and parades such as St Patrick Day or park outreaches, door-to-door visitation, tracting, seasonal outreaches such as our Christmas Choir (which we take to the street and into shopping centres every year), etc. Most people don‚t come to church, so let bring church to the people!
One Way Club
The One Way Club is a ministry of Grace Fellowship to the children of the town, particularly, the rougher and low income housing estates, where there is a great need! Students will have the opportunity to love on these kids, befriend them and to affect their lives forever with the Gospel.
Nike Kids
The Nike Club is a ministry of Grace Fellowship specifically to the children of Grace Fellowship. It concentrates on developing and encouraging this next, up and coming generation to draw closer to the Lord for themselves and to be an active witness for Christ amongst their own friends and peers.
Intense
During the year, as Master students become disciples themselves, they will seek to make other disciples too. One way that this is achieved is through working along side the youth ministries of Grace Fellowship, during service times and recreational events, where they will be utilised as servants, mentors, and friends to this younger group of men and women.
Church Plants
Grace Fellowship are actively involved in raising up and furthering many local churches in other towns and cities in various parts of the country. All students will have the opportunity to serve in and observe the pioneering of such works from the ground up.
Big Day Events
Every year, Masters are key in organising and running many outreaches into our local community. Such outreaches may include the building of floats for our regional St Patrick’s Day Parade”, where we have taken home 1st place for several years running; sponsoring sports events, children art competitions, urban art competitions, dance competitions, etc., in order to further the Gospel and continue to build relationships with our council, townspeople, and unchurched members of our society. We also have many in-house events that we host for the families and individual ministries here within Grace, including an annual women conference, special services for holiday times and parties for our youth and children ministries, which require much preparation, stage and set design, the building of props, creation of costumes, etc.
Media
Throughout the course of the year students will be involved in several different forms of media training. This includes video editing, sound engineering, website design, graphics design, camera training, and various other skills that are needed for the workings of media. Students will also have the opportunity to learn the basics of the latest software that is used for these skills (i.e. Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Final Cut, Flash, Swish, Cool Edit Pro, Fireworks, and iMovie just to name a few). If you have a passion for media, this programme will give you the opportunity to experience a little of everything and help you find where your niche is, and even if media is not your forte;, it will still help you gain a wider range of experience and in the long run make you a more rounded person.
Missions
Every year Master Students will take one international missions
trip to another country for at least a week. Grace Fellowship is a very
missions minded church and is actively supporting many full-time
missionaries on the field as well as ministries within Grace who travel
extensively out to the field on short-term missions, annually.
